PROJECTS  Development of Phase Module Tester for Medium Voltage VFD

Phase tester for Medium Voltage VFD was developed. Phase tester is used in order to check the phase module and it peripheries: rectifier, capacitor bank etc. In the phase level, the switching operation is tested by mean of voltage levels. Also the power losses of the semiconductors are examined at rated current in order to ensure safe operation in the full system. By modeling the phase tester, one can:

  • Save time by finding stable operation points (output frequency, switching frequency and load parameters).

  • Simulate and analyze typical faults.

  • Calculate the required creepage and clearance distances inside the phase module.
